I am writing this poat much earlier than usual. Well there is no particular reason there . I just thought that I shall answer some of the frewuently asked questions(FAQs).
To tell you all the truth the first question that I discuss today havent been asked to me at all. Anyways, if you want to ask me a question to me then you are free to do so. all you have to do is email them to manjil.saikia@gmail.com with your name and I will try answering them.
Lets leave all these for a later time. So the first FAQ is " Why did you make this blog?"
The answer if I am allowed to be a little rude is " Because i can and I will!"
But essentially thats not my answer because I dont mean to be rude. I made this blog to share my feelings and thoughts with all of you and that I hope is allowed to me. Moreover I wanted to see if anyone read all this crap that I write anyway. but mind you, sometimes I can be quite creative if I want to.
So thats all folks for now. Maybe I will get to answer a much better question the next time I blog!

Who is the Godot?

The other day after I was asked some particularly worthless questions I began to wonder why some people have the useless habit of worrying what others are up to when it is none of their business. Well I will be damned if I mentioned any names here for its also the great duty of this question posers to castigate anyone voicing these opinions. After all in India, "the world's largest democracy' all these comes at a price- the price of unwanted attention.
I have continuously wondered why a very dear friend of mine always wonders which girl I am willing to date if given a chance. If he has no other useful work to do then I would have left him to his musings but he is not that idle to warrant his mind to such stray thoughts If by any luck he reads this piece then he would start the very next day with renewed vigor in his already started mission of encompassing his girl that happens to talk to me as a possible substitute for the previous ones.
Maybe currently I may in about the 100th possible link up still I don't complain as I have grown accustomed to it having heard all these for more than 5 years of my significantly short life which if my calculations are correct comes to about 27.78% approximately of my whole life.
All these reminds me of the classic drama " Waiting for Godot" which I first encountered in an article on Operator Theory , a branch of mathematics where like in the drama the protagonist( If I can call it one) fails to appear whereas everyone knows that he ( or she) exists.Well my life is turning out to be the same now. There certainly is a Godot somewhere but the question remains when will she choose to appear? I might not be much of a blogger then but certainly I will be happy to stop these random mumblings. But I guess the one who would be more happy than me would be the friend that I wont mention here!

The Anatomy of a Piccaro!
After a very long absence I come back with a post which I feel everyone will find interesting specially the "Piccaroes". Now what does that last word mean. I assume that you have not heard it before. Well no its not a Spanish or Italian as it most certainly sounds like one. You will find it even more enigmatic if i say that its an English word. You might contemplate murder if I say that the word has been coined by people I know. Well I am not lying! Yes,the word is indeed English but it does not fall into the average vocabulary of a college going teenager. But I plan to change it all. Maybe after a few years or decades the word might find its place in an English dictionary.
But I have been beating about the bush till now. What exactly does the word mean? If you are an Assamese then you might have heard the word "Seni". Well that word means a boy or more specifically a man who flirts with girls unnecessarily, well you might say that anyone who flirts does it unnecessarily. Well in a sense that's correct but a "Seni" does it more out of habit then any other thing. Well after much searching I could not find an English equavalent to that crude word. When I said that to my friend Sidhartha Sankar Nath then we decieded why not create a word to mean the exact same thing in English.
We thought for some days and came out with a list of words which had no standard meaning in the English language. But Sidhrtha's choice of words were better than mine and at last we selected the word "Piccaro" to mean what we had in mind. Still we felt that in the days of female equality we had better give another word for our female counterparts to mean the same and we hit upon "Faggi".
Let me give you a brief meaning of the word "Piccaro" ;the meanings for "Faggi' are the same must it only applies for the females.
Piccaro(noun) means a person specifically a man who flirts with girls and spends unnecessary time with them. He does this for the pleasure of it without going into any long term relationship.
Maybe you all use this word and who knows it might get into use much sooner!
Toodles for now....will meet next time!!!

The Ultimate Feynmanist!
Well after writing about my dream girl last time (To tell the truth not my dream girl actually), I try this time to give you some insight into my philosophy about life. Now I don’t want to sound like a fat headed guy giving out advices to others but still as I had already pointed out in the previous blog here I try to speak only about things that are close to my heart.
And surely as you all might have guessed Mr. Feynman is certainly close to my heart. My first brush with Dr. Richard Philips Feynman was in 2007 while I was reading my Physics text book. Then I did not give much damn to that name but when gradually it started popping up in my surroundings I started to pursue him with some respect. Then I purchased a book called “Surely you’re joking Mr. Feynman” which are his memoirs and then was I mesmerized by the genius of a man. R.P. Feynman has become my idol in the past few months and I genuinely get up to him to help me out either in Physics or in real life.
Now the book Surely…. Is not easily available in India and I was lucky enough to get it and I think I might have the only genuine copy of that book in my state (Assam). But the internet has been a spoilsport as the book is available for anyone who knows how to use Google to his benefit. Now I have got more books of him and still I am insatiable.
Coming back to the title of this post! Well I have coined the words Feynmanist and Feynmanism to describe myself more than is possible. As I follow Feynmanism so I am a Feynmanist. I wonder how many other people are Feynmanists! The philosophy that Feynman advocated was a one of which he was extremely proud. He dealt only on those things he enjoyed and this has been my forte too. Looking back I wonder how that single man could have done so much and left so much of his legacy. I certainly try to further it but I am not satisfied. Maybe someday I might eclipse Feynman in it and earn some name at least.
(N.B: I have decided to keep the current blog template for a few days until I find a more suitable one.)

Am I smitten?

Well what a better note to begin this blog then to talk my heart out about something personal. Unless you happen to
know me personally you would not happen to know that I am an ardent fan of Miss. Hillary Duff! Yes, that cute girl next
door. When I first saw her in the hit Disney series Lizzie McGuire then instantly I was captivated. Her long locks as well
as that exhilarating countenance was more than a match for anything that I had seen before. So I watched that series with
much enthusiasm until it was stooped . Later on I treaded into her movies and then her songs and my my both were just
the same.
Now the question that must be ringing in each one of your minds will be that "Am I smitten?"
Honestly my answer will be " YES! I am."
Now I remember an incident when last year our English question paper had the question to write a paragraph about
our favorite player. When I asked one of my close friends called Sidhartha about whom he was going to write he cheerily
replied "Tendulkar." I suggested he write about some one else as Mr.Tendulkar was bound to be written by many and so
he could expect lees marks. Then he gave me the classic reply "I am not concerned about my marks. The mere fact that I
am writing about him will suffice"
Now the same applies in my case too. I donot give a damn whether any one reads this post or not but the fact that I
am writing this will do for me.
Being in a very down to earth place like Tezpur has some distinctive disadvantages. For one I have to struggle very
hard to find the latest releases of Hilary. But still I try....
Also the fact that she is all but 19 does not help as I too am of the same age group. maybe some day somewhere I will
get at least to meet her. Even if its not a date....
Many months ago I had seen someone much like Hilary in Tezpur while I was returning home but till now I haven't been
able to trace her either....
As I finish writing this I will be downloading a video of Hilary from YouTube.
Waiting for a new dawn........Signing off Manjil.........
